Comment:

 So, if I'm understanding correctly:

  * T5267 should fail with a type error
  * that it currently doesn't is a bug (#5267)
  * this core lint error arises because the type checker erroneously allows
 the program through

 so, we can close this ticket, since #5267 is already open to track the
 bug.
