 I do not know whether ghc-7.1.20101115 snapshot is before or after the
 patches I mention.  Try with something that is definitely after.

 I still can't build hmatrix automatically, for the reason I gave above.
 There's a faluire in `configure.hs` which is part of `hmatrix`.
