Comment(by benl):

 Compiling with `--debug` and running with `-qg -Ds` always dies like:

            4: GC pending, set capability 29 free
            4: GC pending, set capability 30 free
            4: GC pending, set capability 31 free
            4: cap 3: message: thread 43 blocking on blackhole fcfff015
           22: [5 second pause] Bus Error (core dumped)
 }}}

 The pause is probably just writing the core file. Running with `-DS`
 doesn't help.
