Comment:

 I can confirm that a checkout of the GHC 7 branch with Bryans patches from
 #4514 applied fix this issue for our test program and our application.
 Thanks a lot!  :-)

 I hope a fixed version of GHC will be released soon as  we currently
 cannot use plain 6.12.3 because of #9 and we cannot use plain 7.0.1
 because of this issue.
