> Cabal does use an enumeration, defined in `Distribution.System`. It also
has equivalents of `System.Info.arch` and `os` but using the enumeration
type.
The values defined in the Cabal enumeration do not have a clear
relationship to those actually in Cabal files.
* Where is `freebsd`? (I see it is in the latest Cabal, but was it
neglected in the past? I don't think so...)
* Can I write `if os(os x) ...` in a Cabal file? (I seem to have it as
`darwin`.)
Were it not for the fact that Cabal specifically points to `System.Info`,
I would have filed this bug against Cabal.
Even if Cabal provided everything, it is still desirable that the
documentation for `System.Info` should mention its possible values. Some
things will always be treasure hunts but this need not be one of them.
