The network library works well with unix sockets, but doesn't work with
 abstract unix sockets -- a linux extension.
 AUS are identified by that that the unix path starts with a zero, and not
 being zero terminated. Thus not compatible with the current network code.

 This proposal includes a patch that will add abstract unix support to the
 network library.
