------------------------+---------------------------------------------------

     Type: bug | Status: closed
 Priority: normal | Milestone: 6.8.3
Component: GHCi | Version: 6.8.1
 Severity: trivial | Resolution: invalid
 Keywords: firewall | Difficulty: Unknown
 Testcase: | Architecture: x86
       Os: Windows |

Comment (by TimAttwood):

OK, it's possible that the firewall is buggy, though I do run other things
that stress the processor like raytracers and other programming languages
without seeing this packet, maybe the firewall correctly detects a router
ping as belonging to Windows in those cases. It's not very important
anyway, since it doesn't effect compiled code, and seems not to have
occured for any other Windows users that I know of.
