Comment:

 This duplicates a patch that I sent out in a letter earlier and which has
 now been applied (http://www.haskell.org/pipermail/glasgow-haskell-bugs

 /2006-November/032887.html). So I'll just close this. Thanks to Ian and
 sorry about the confusion.
