Comment:

 Thanks for the report.  It turned out that this is a bug that affects
 compacting GC on Windows only.

 I think we still have a compacting GC issue lurking, because I have seen a
 crash on Unix too, but it has never been repeatable enough to track down
 (I don't think I ever said that we have fixed "all compacting GC bugs",
 that would be a bit rash!).
