 to anyone who's looking to read through that, I would suggest stripping
 the SIGALRM's first.  there's nearly a meg of them.  I think I know what's
 going wrong.  It may be a problem with ghc, and it may be a problem with
 gcc.  When I compile with CFLAGS=-O3, I get these errors, and when I
 compile with CFLAGS=-O, it starts up normally (it still gives a meg of
 SIGALRM's though.  Does anyone know why?).  I think I'll report this on
 the gcc side as well.
 Also, is there any way to just attach a file, without having to link it in
 from my personal site?
