Fail to compile 5.04.3 on Solaris

Ah, yes. I've had problems with the linker before. It would be REALLY nice
if configure could find the GNU linker instead. Or it should at least be
possible to specify one's own linker a la --with-ln=<linker>. Could you
make this happen? Puhlease?
