another `panic'

ghci -5.00.1  compiled from source for Linux, i386

says:
  Prelude> BPrelude.sortE compare [1, 2 :: Integer]

  ghc-5.00.1: panic! (the `impossible' happened, GHC version 5.00.1):
        ByteCodeGen.lookupCE Preludezu.sortE{-rUM-}


Here  BPrelude  is a user module which I had forgotten to load.
Probably, ghc should rather report `module not found', or maybe, 
`unknown value'.
