Comment (by edmundnoble):

 Now that there's a testcase verifying that the original YHC code is
 currently compiled correctly, should I assume that the issue of the
 compiler not distinguishing different `error`s in different `case`
 branches is fixed? Testing the example given in comment9 shows it still
 behaves the same way, which seems to imply that it isn't and the YHC code
 working is a fluke.
