 I think you totally miss the point here: Of course you could do that, but
 one of the main points of `stack`'s popularity is that you don't need to
 do that: All you need for a happy Haskell life is to install a single tool
 (stack), which pulls in other tools/compilers/packages as needed.

 In all companies I've worked so far, "crashing/not working on common
 platforms" ''is'' a definition of show stopper.
