 Haven't tried this one yet; `-fno-enable-rewrite-rules` seems to fix it,
 the other optimization flags listed as "implied by -O" on
 [https://downloads.haskell.org/~ghc/7.8.2/docs/html/users_guide/flag-
 reference.html#options-f-compact] don't seem to make a difference.
