Comment (by nomeata):

 JFTR, I just compared `master` with my branch with !SpecConstr disabled,
 and all allocation regressions but one (in `queens`, not yet investigated)
 did go away.

 So the issue of !SpecConstr vs. loopification seems to be the main road
 blocker here.
