 By the way, the ghc available on Ubuntu is only 8.0.2-11 (which means that
 it cannot build HEAD).  The haskell platform package is from 2014.

 LLVM is 6, so you also need to install 5 to get LLVM builds, although I
 seem that there is some testing going on to update support #15024   That
 was tested against 8.4.1.  I got more errors on HEAD and did not pursue
 further.
