 I'm going to attach `-v` results too, so we can look at how many
 simplifier passes were used. Is there a way to find out when the
 simplifier bailed out without a debug build? I don't really know how to
 get a debug build of 7.8. Building 7.8 with 7.8 didn't work, and I don't
 have 7.6 lying around.
