 I ran git bisect between {{{ghc-8.2.1-release}}} and {{{master}}}, and the
 first commit that doesn't have the issue is

 33452dfc6c Refactor the Mighty Simplifier]. Is there a chance to include
 these changes into the upcoming {{{ghc-8.2.2}}} release?
