 Are you using `stack`? If so, try using the directions here:
 http://taylor.fausak.me/2017/05/17/testing-ghc-release-candidates-with-
 stack/

 (Due to a quirk in the way `stack` operates, you'll have to use a
 particular `deepseq` version in `extra-deps`.)
