Interesting. Do you by chance have 7.6.3 to compare with? 7.8 was already
significantly worse than it.
bgamari, is your max residency for 7.10 off? The figures for both 7.8 and
7.10 seem low to me, really. When I build the test suite on 7.10 I get
like 11 GB max residency, and I'm not sure it would ever complete if I
limited it to ~400 MB. Unless your test is a smaller case derived from the
real test suite.
