Comment:

 I observe the same error as simonpj describes in comment:7 on the
 `ghc-8.0` branch. I'm fairly confident that this is fixed; if you find
 that it is still reproducible with the next release candidate (which will
 likely come in the next week or so) feel free to re-open this ticket.
