 In my current code I need to give a type hint to an assignment

 Amazingly this can be emulated with some trickery

 {{{#!hs
 -- infixl 0 ◃, <|, ▹, |>
 -- (◃)  = flip ($)
 -- (<|) = flip ($)
 -- (▹)  = ($)
 -- (|>) = ($)
 ptr <|(:=) @elt|> value
 }}}

 but at that point this is clearer

 {{{#!hs
 assign @elt ptr value
 }}}
