 Going by this email https://mail.haskell.org/pipermail/ghc-
 devs/2016-January/011140.html, try `pkg_add ghc` instead of `pkg_add
 haskell-platform`. That should be easier to get started with.

 In any case, this is not the haskell-platform bug tracker. If my
 suggestion didn't work, please ask on the haskell-cafe or glasgow-haskell-
 users mailinglist.
