 I think it might be simpler just to say

 {-# NO_WARN_REDUNDANT_CONSTRAINTS singleton #-}
 }}}
 or something of that ilk. Or put it in the signature itself
 {{{
 singleton :: {-# NO_WARN_REDUNDANT_CONSTRAINTS #-}
              Ord a => a -> Set a
 }}}
