 Stephen, thanks for the instructions but it would be much easier to make
 progress if they were simpler.

 * Didn't rely on stack (essential)
 * Was reproducible with the latest GHC version
 * Didn't depend on lots of packages. Could you try removing code and
 packages/dependencies from `yesod-auth` so that we can a standalone
 reproducible case?

 Ideally the reproduction would just be a single command line invocation of
 GHC.
