 Here is a use case for this feature. A module in the Darcs codebase
 currently says:
 {{{
 import GHC.Exception ( throwIO, ErrorCall(..) )
 }}}
 This code doesn't compile with HEAD, because #5273 replaced the
 `ErrorCall` data constructor by a pattern synonym.
