 I won't champion the verbose syntax, as I'm deeply unsure of that myself.
 But I wanted to see what a verbose syntax might look like, in case someone
 else wants to run with it.

 I'm quite happy with comment:6. We should also include point (1) or (2)
 from the original post. I favor (1) by a tiny bit, but perhaps only
 because it's sunny out this morning. It's hard for me to choose there.
