 My first step toward fixing this is prohibiting export of `newName` names.
 But it strikes me that a good approach is to avoid adding system names to
 the `GlobalRdrEnv`. `newName` names are indeed system names, and I think,
 in general, users should never be able to refer to system names in code.

 Is there a reason this is a bad approach?
