Joachim, I also picked this last one over to `ghc-7.10`, so these will all
hit 7.10.2.
@TobyGoodwin - Unfortunately, we aren't going to be doing any more
releases of the 7.8.x series at this point, since the branch is quite out
of date. In theory, all of the current performance fixes Joachim has made
''should'' apply to the 7.8 branch still, although there will probably be
things like conflicts with whitespace and the tabs->spaces conversion that
happened.
I'm not sure what the policy is for upstream distributions here is,
especially if they still aren't even shipping 7.8 to users - and if they
aren't, can they not use 7.10? I have no clue what timeline most distros
use for upgrading major versions of things like GHC. Luckily, for Debian,
Joachim is the maintainer, so I'm sure he'll know the deal. :)
