 Rats.  I wish you'd highlighted this earlier.  We've been advertising
 7.10.1 for ages, with a clearly stated list of priorities on the
 [https://ghc.haskell.org/trac/ghc/wiki/Status/GHC-7.10.1 7.10.1 status
 page].  It says that we'll only fix "highest" priority bugs.  If you care
 deeply about things, it's a good idea to monitor the status page and bid
 to have it promoted to "highest".

 I'm not sure how to proceed now. I don't know how hard it is to fix.  I
 don't know how mission-critical it is to how many people.  More info on
 the latter would be helpful.
