 Patch attached, but not too happy with it. Making it a dump patch is
 probably the least offensive option - at least it shows the right intent.
 Yet it is awkward both in terms of overriding the "tick never" as well as
 in terms of actually changing the Haskell syntax tree based on a dump
 flag.
