Comment:

 I noticed that this did not make it into 7.8.4-rc1. I thought that’s what
 "merged in ..." meant... but now I see that you did not merge the amd64
 support, but rather some alias handling.

 Marking this as merge in case this is just an oversight, and there was a
 plan to merge the AMD64 support in 7.8.4. Just close it again if that was
 not the intention.
