Comment:

 I tried the `cabal` command from the description. ghc-7.6.3 indeed gets
 stuck at some point, although for me it happens in the last step, when it
 is compiling `random-fu` itself. With ghc-7.8.3 I do manage to install
 `random-fu` however, so I'm calling this one fixed.
