 Hi, I think I am hitting the same issue after upgrading from 7.6.3 to
 7.8.2. Previously the same code was building fine. I have my code on
 github. https://github.com/phaul/chess/tree/ghc-7.8.2.
 (You need the ghc-7.8.2 branch)
