 after saying "cabal install idris" the machine churned for a while,
 spitting out messages, then said:

 src\Idris\AbsSyntax.hs:1569:10: Warning:
     `EitherErr' is an instance of Monad but not Applicative - this will
 become an error in GHC 7.10, under the Applicative-Monad Proposal.
