 I have to say I like your very last proposal best: do nothing. I wouldn't
 describe the current wonky behavior as wrong, just perhaps seemingly
 incomplete. If "doing nothing" makes you queasy, I would just put in the
 warning, though I'm also fine with blocking the constructor definitions as
 long as there's a way to unblock them.
