 Actually I was talking about a different committee with non-publicly
 available mailing list. =)

 With the `core-libraries-committee` we're setting up a bug tracker so
 you'll be able to link from issues like this to appropriate resolutions.

 When this last arose I spoke to `hvr` about us using the github issue
 tracker for `base`, but that was put on hold due to the decision to fold
 base into the `ghc` repository.

 I suppose it is time to just give in and use a trac.
