 That's why I fought hard for actual issue identification. :-) Indeed, the
 issue may in gmp's configure itself. The question is if you'd like to
 identify it and submit patch upstream and just work-around it in ghc
 itself...
 As I said I don't like your first attempt with using /bin/sh ./configure
 -- but I think removing $(SHELL) (in your second attempt) should be ok.
 Well, still fixing the gmp's configure is probably the most clean of those
 solutions anyway. :-)
