 I didn't notice any significant code size changes with a few programs that
 I compiled. I will make sure that there are no regressions, both in terms
 of code size and performance, as soon as I manage to run nofib - right now
 I'm struggling with some nofib errors (mailed on ghc-devs today). Also,
 #7958 blocks me partially with benchmarking hastables package.
