 $ LANG=C ghc -c q.hs

 q.hs:1:1: The IO action `main' is not defined in module `Main'
 }}}
 I suspect that you have `LC_CTYPE` or `LC_ALL` set to a different locale,
 and that is overriding `LANG`.
