Unfortunately, my colleague Zubin points out that an unrelated issue in
`os-string` [2] may have a large impact on HLS users. As there is a
soon-to-be-merged fix for this issue I think we may need to scuttle the
release candidate proposed in this thread, wait for an `os-string`
release, and try again next week.

Julian, does this sound right to you?
