I just checked the following, which all work fine:

* Navigate to https://gitlab.haskell.org/ghc/haddock (in Firefox)

* git clone https://gitlab.haskell.org/ghc/haddock.git /tmp/haddock         

* git clone git at gitlab.haskell.org:ghc/haddock.git /tmp/haddock-2

Simon, can you give more precise details about the problem you are
experiencing?
