I'd like to bring attention to the ticket
https://ghc.haskell.org/trac/ghc/ticket/10380, because I imagine it
affects a lot of people who use sockets. Specifically, it potentially
affects all programs that (1) uses -threaded and (2) does both send
and recv over one socket, simultaneously from multiple threads.

That said, this isn't blocking us because we've decided to patch base ourselves.
