  * * Move the header to include from OPTIONS to the foreign imports
  * Tell GHC that the calls can be handled unsafe
  
  Note: Perhaps some #ifdefs are necessary for ancient GHCs, but it must
  be ensured that the Float is passed correctly to the C side. This
  wasn't the case before.
