  * Improve Haskell pretty printer for hat-detect and hat-observe.
  
  Shows complete list of chars as strings.
  Shows complete list in square brackets.
  Avoids superfluous parenthesis and indentation.
  No single space characters around operators to save space.
  Hard code informatin that some prelude operators are associative.
