To all users of the CVS repository for nhc98.

We are planning to move the CVS repository from hinken.sparud.net to
cvs.haskell.org. Although we haven't decided exactly when to move,
the idea is to coincide roughly with a new release of nhc98, which
means soon, probably in about a week's time.

This message is to give you warning of the upcoming move, so you
can prepare. If you have made changes to your local tree that you
think should be committed, it will be easier to check them in before
the move, rather than after.

Also, at the time of the move, we will probably undertake a small
re-arrangement of the source tree to split nhc98, hmake, and hat
into separate projects that can be checked out independently from
each other.

What should you do after the move?

  * Assuming you have no local uncommited modifications in your tree,
it should be as simple as deleting the old tree and checking out
a new one from the new location.

  * If you have uncommited modifications that you wish to keep, then it
is slightly trickier. You will need to replace all of the
"CVS/Root" and "CVS/Repository" files throughout the tree to point
to the new locations. (It would be relatively straightforward
to write a script to find and replace them I suppose.)

  * If you currently have write-access to the hinken.sparud.net
repository, but not to the cvs.haskell.org repository, then you
should email Jeff Lewis <jlewis@galconn.com> to request write-access
    to the latter.

If you have any questions or problems, use this list (cvs-nhc98@haskell.org).

Regards,
    Malcolm
