You have correctly.

I have rebuilt my hugsdir using the make command, and rebuilt lots of
other things, and now I have all the OpenGL examples running
perfectly, including keyboard input.

libraries that use wrappers). I don't know if it ever worked or not,
but based on "make check" failures, there is something wrong.

I don't have a clue if it ever did, I've never used it and I don't know how.
