These modules have a long history, so removing them
only runs the risk of upsetting end users. Why would that
be a positive move? Projects quite often have a low-level
FFI layer that are written/generated once, and then mostly
forgotten about -- code that use both modules (as they
were generated initially by GC,HDirect,whatever at the time,
e.g., TclHaskell.)
Since there's no maintenance overhead for these, let them
live, I'd say.
