ghci and other test failures on Windows - PS

| That test takes about 10 seconds on my machine here.  Very strange.

That report was from my PIII 800MHz NT2000 computer at home on the weekend.
Tonight on my 2.4 GHz XP box it takes just a couple of seconds for the
threaded version to run - so either I was wrong the other night or there is
a difference between the two machines - I'll retry when I get a chance at
home.
